Amazing and unique airbnb. The place has been respectfully restored to retain the ambience of the old chapel but opened up to take advantage of wonderful vistas. The main bed is very comfortable and the monastic side bed rooms add to the historic experience. Beautiful beachside walk (we saw a seal on the rock platform) and waterfall nearby too. Sam came by in the morning for a friendly chat and let us feed the alpacas.

Really enjoyed our stay.
EV charger only works when there is surplus power on the site from solar, which never happened while we were there as it was overcast.
Heater was on when we got there which was a very nice touch, and beds. Very warm, despite it being a very cold night outside.
Kids couldn’t use the slide that is in photos as it is connected to another room.

Amazing place

Certainly a unique stay in a converted chapel. The four poster bed is in the main open living area (at the rear, photos don’t really show that), with three small single bedrooms off the side. “Luxury” might be overstating things, but the place was clean and neat, the shower was hot, and beds comfortable. The best part was the gorgeous location and the ocean view.

It’s a perfect location and such a wonderful building. The value, cleanliness, view, everything was fantastic. Even though the weather was hectic it was a beautiful place to listen to the rain and waves. We would love to come back.

A gorgeous spot, with a spectacular outlook and good facilities.
Not all the bells and whistles of some BnBs, (don’t expect TVs, and other superfluous stuff!) but the destination is the hero. The alpacas are very cute and approachable and are great sports, the beach is pristine and fascinating, the sunrises sublime. Sam is a wonderful helpful host who filled us in on the history of the Redemptorists and invited us to “explore” the complex which was appreciated! Wish it were closer to home, it would be a regular haunt! Great days!

A location where the dreams and reality meets. Opportunity to witness the best sunrise view along great ocean road from the dinning table while having morning coffee and in day time we had some feeding time with the Alpacas.

The most beautiful, neat and amazing place to visit.

Sam’s place is amazing! Very tranquil, the perfect place to relax for an extended weekend - keep in mind that photos do not do this place justice. The sweeping views of the ocean are amazing!! The house is also very adequately equipped (emphasise on the very), keep in mind there’s also a coffee vending machine in the shed!!

Spectacular views and beautifully restored chapel. Loved the quirky lay out and private porch to enjoy the ocean vista. The accommodation was immaculately clean and spacious in the main room/hall. Three bedrooms perfect for kids. If travelling with another couple I recommend booking one of the other rooms which are close and gives access to the common spaces and bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay at Seacroft and will definitely rebook in the future. Communication with Sam was clear and staff working on the premises friendly and helpful. 5 stars

Absolutely loved our stay in the chapel. The setting and view were absolutely spectacular. The chapel was perfectly clean, lots of great touches, huge comfy bed, great kitchen, big bath. We loved it.

It was exactly like the photos,
3 single beds in really small bedrooms & a big double bed in the centre of the room.
Easy to find and was a comfy sleep.
There are other people on the property but they didnt bother us at all.

Cheese and wine on the deck was magic with the best view of our entire trip. Stunning.
The church conversion is a little quirky with all the single rooms opening onto the main bedroom space. Make sure you are sharing with close friends or family for this one.
Highly recommend the accommodation for the view from the deck alone. Hope to be back.

Incredible views and great location close to Apollo Bay.
The three bedrooms off the main room were tiny with single beds which was a bit of a surprise but the beds were comfortable and were sufficient for our needs.
By comparison the living space was absolutely massive and created a lovely quiet space to relax. BYO board games- there’s no TV. But who needs TV when you have the GOR literally on your doorstep

We stayed at the chapel. A unique experience. Fantastic views. The place was clean and only 15 min away from Apollo Bay for meals. The side bedrooms are suitable for kids, not tall adults. The main bed was large, too soft for our liking but was ok to sleep on, not using pillows.

This is a very interesting location, a beautiful converted chapel. It has a small kitchen, a very large room with two tables, and a four-poster double bed in the centre. There are three very small bedrooms to the side and one small bathroom.

It is in a beautiful location and there is a beach a short walk away- there are also a lot of waterfalls within driving distance.

The hosts were very responsive and provided a number of things we needed on request, we really appreciated how friendly and helpful they were.

There are a few things we wished we had known about the property in advance:

1. The photos make it look like the property is standalone, but it’s actually on a large ‘block’ of other buildings which are also rented out, so you’re in a community of people, all renting.
2. Some of the things pictured in the photos are not part of the property and you can’t access them, for example, the platform with the tent on it is another, different rental property, adjacent to the chapel.
3. There is a piano on the property but this is kept locked, you cannot play it.
4. The water is sourced locally and you are advised that this lends it a slight brown colour, which was fine on arrival. However, after a particularly heavy rainfall, the water went a very muddy (opaque) colour that made it unsafe to drink- so we went the last two days without drinking water (you’re also quite isolated so it’s hard to get more without a drive to Apollo Bay), which was not what we expected from a property in this price range.

Beautiful chapel, great kitchen, ridiculous amount of space, just be careful as the porch isn't clearly marked as private and other guests kept walking across it or attempting to hang out there!

The absolute highlight of Seacroft Chapel is the incredible view, including sunrise and sunset. If you're a singer or guitar player, you are going to love the amazing acoustics of the chapel. Sam is a fabulous host with a wealth of knowledge. The whole vibe is friendly, welcoming and luxurious.

The complex houses more accommodation units, and wasn't as private as we initially expected. Having no curtains on some of the windows made me uncomfortable now and then. However, this won't stop me from coming back.

The positive reviews are accurate, it really was an amazing stay!

The best place for peaceful rejuvenation, value and something unique.

Amazing setting and amazing place!

An amazing place, with spectacular views.

I needed a short break and found Seacroft. What a place. The photos on the web site do not do this place justice. Facilities are fantastic with everything you need for a lovely break. Get out on that verandah and be amazed by the views. I mean this place is sitting on the oceans edge. Sunsets were beautiful and on my last morning I was blessed with the most magnificent sunrise I have seen in all of my travels. Go to sleep with the sound of the ocean, and wake up with the same. whilst only there for 2 days/nights I came home refreshed. will definitely stay again, and recommend this 300% to anyone wanting a getaway to remember. If you are looking for a central spot within an hour of Apollo Bay, Lorne and all of the major Otways attractions: Seacroft is your spot! A stunning view, and such a unique stay- perfect for recouping between adventure days. Fully sorted kitchen to cook a meal and coffee in the morning!

Worth a visit just for the view alone. Beds were cosy and space was lovely and warm. Highly recommend. Hope to return again in the future.

Beautiful space with gorgeous views. Loved sitting on the private deck and taking it all in. Bed is comfortable but a bit squeaky. Chapel is located close to other visitors but still feels private.

Staying in the chapel apartment was the highlight of our great ocean road experience. The expansive ocean view from the verandah and the sunrise through the picture window in the morning was amazing...

Beautiful location for people looking for a quiet weekend away.

Absolutely loved this place! My partner and I wanted a last minute getaway for the night, and the chapel was the perfect spot. Close to Apollo Bay but also far enough to feel like you are away from it all. Right next to the Great Ocean Road but the accom is situated on a hill and the gentle sound of the ocean means there is no traffic sounds.
Loved the little patio, watching the sunset, star gazing, watching the moonrise, and hanging out with the cows. Comfy bed too 😀 Keen to come back here for another quick getaway soon.

This is an amazing place to stay, with awesome views of the coast and a picture window that will take your breath away. It was quite cold and windy when I visited, with the wind coming straight off the ocean, so it was nice to be able to get beautiful photos of sunrise over the water, without having to go outside! In the morning, cows wandered along the front paddock to graze, with the crashing waves in the background, so more great photo ops. Despite the cold weather, the space was toasty warm and the king size four-poster bed is VERY comfortable. One thing to mention, which IS in the description, but I missed it- there is no TV. This is NOT a complaint and it wasn't a problem for me, as I have several streaming services on my phone and laptop (the wifi signal is good), but as this was the first Airbnb I have stayed in without a TV, I thought it worth mentioning for those with children who might want a TV and who miss that part of the description. Personally, I could just look out that picture window all day, but kids may get bored with that! I highly recommend this accommodation. You will really feel as if you have gotten away from it all (but everything you need is in Apollo Bay, a 10-15 minute drive away.

Sam's place is so neat - a really cute renovation of an old chapel in such a beautiful location. Very quiet with the sound of the ocean right outside your door. The picture window is absolutely stunning and really brings the outside in.

What a special place the converted chapel is. If you wake up at dawn you can see the sunrise along the great ocean road from the very comfortable king size bed. Amazing views, friendly cows and we will definitely return.
