Great location whilst driving the great ocean road. Beautiful views. Tent was clean and plenty of bedding. Electric blankets were a saviour and made the tent super cosy. Bathrooms and kitchen / communal space were great. One tiny suggestion, adding lighting between the yurt and public spaces as it gets pitch black. On the plus side the stars were incredible. It was the perfect stay for us

I had a lovely stay at Seacroft. The tent was great, warm and cosy. I really liked the communal kitchen, dining room and lounge. I was travelling alone so good to have a communal space to socialise with other travellers. Great location to explore areas along the Great Ocean Road like 12 Apostles and walking trails to waterfalls behind Lorne.

Such a beautiful piece surrounded by nature, super clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed — can’t wait to go back!

We stayed one night - loved the location and the cats (Oreo and Bailey), the kitchen and living area was very clean and the view was amazing. However, the bathroom was a bit inconvenient as you had to walk outside from the room to get to it but it wouldn’t stop me from booking another night

Great place to stay. Very happy there. More spacious and luxurious than suggested by the photos, especially the gorgeous main bedroom. Well kitted out with quality appliances. Wish we were staying longer.Really grateful we could book last minute and have it all instantly confirmed especially as we’d been let down by another place who failed to confirm our booking. We enjoyed our day at Seacroft estate, with a room that faced the sea and ample amenities for cooking and working. The toilet block was clean and well maintained although sharing shower & toilet stalls together is not quite the same experience as having a private bathroom or self-contained washing facilities. The room itself was clean and we were glad to have a mosquito net around the bed. We picked up a last-minute deal which proved to be fair value for money, but the best thing about this place is the spacious well-kept grounds and proximity to the beach. 🏝️ The farm animals next door were fun too.

It’s a great place. Loved the view and cattle s. First time staying inside a chapel.Apart from the main hall rest of the rooms are little congested. Found the air conditioner to be of no real use it was not heating up the rooms since the hall is very big and the aircon is located only on one corner. Electric charging was quite useful as I didn’t spend a single $ for charging for 3 days.

I’ve traveled many times with my guests along the great ocean road but never stayed in such an idyllic spot that showcases how beautiful this part of the world is Stunning views -beautiful beach opposite to walk along and a really unique experience of staying in a chapel ! My friends and I wanted a weekend away and this place was perfect. Host was quick with responses and the check in/check out was easy. The backyard view with the cows was beautiful and being close to the beach was great.

For the price, this was more than we could have wished for. We had an extremely comfy bed, the room was clean and cosy. The bathrooms were clean. The shared living space was the real showstopper though - so much space! Incredible view from the sun room. Lots of dining tables to eat. And the kitchen was fantastic - so many amenities to use and was kept very clean. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other people passing through on the Great Ocean Road who are on a budget like us!

We stayed at Sugarloaf 25 years ago. It was lovely to return. Lots of happy memories for us. (Michelle).This accommodation was absolutely amazing. The view of the ocean and rolling hills were simply breathtaking. Michelle & I have rated this accommodation 5 star. As super hosts this accommodation offers a unique experience. The odd negative reviews I have read have been written with low objectivity and lack of commonsense. Well done Sugarloaf!!!

best location for holiday

A wonderful stay with beautiful views of the ocean (especially during sunrise). Tent was super clean and cozy with plenty of space. There are friendly alpacas, highland cows and also a very well behaved cat that kept us company during dinner (which was a nice surprise). Also a perfect place to stargaze. There was a lot of wind at night which can make it hard to sleep at night ( this is to be expected though since you’re in a tent by the ocean side). Hosts were very friendly and down to earth people.Would definitely come again for a weekend getaway :).

Amazing place with a beautiful view! We loved the highland cows and alpacas with the ocean view! Can’t get much better than that. Would recommend a little fan for airflow as it got quite hot but cooled as the night went on. But all in all, a beautiful stay for our little family!

A great place to stay and explore the region. An amazing location with the great sea views out the front and farm land out the back. The fire place was fantastic and the place was very tidy. We had a really nice stay! Check-in was super easy, and we stayed in room 12. The room was small but had everything we needed, including a dressing table and mirror. The shared toilet was clean and was not too busy. The best part was definitely the beautiful view — such a lovely place to relax!

Seacroft Estate was a good value stopping place while visiting the Great Ocean Road. The bed in room 13 was huge and very comfortable. The shared kitchen was very well equipped to cook dinner.

We stayed in the Chapel which undoubtedly was very unique experience and the photos are a good representation of the space. The views are incredible especially at sunrise and it was nice to be able to say hello to the farm animals during our stay. Chapel was very clean and the kitchen has all you could need basic cooking for a short stay. The only disappointing things were that no body wash/shampoo were supplied which I think is an essential item and it's very easy and cheap to provide a pump action container. There was also no long life milk in the fridge for for the tea supplied and we were disappointed to pay $6 for two latte's in the Espresso machine hut in the morning only to find that the machine had no milk in it either. Only little things but it is the little things are what make a perfect stay. Otherwise great experience and the earlier low reviews from other guests for the chapel are so unwarranted as it is a brilliant space.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The place is surrounded by beautiful vegetation and animals, which makes it feel so special and peaceful. Even though there are plenty of shared spaces, everything was spotless and well-maintained. The bathrooms were always clean, and everyone seemed to cooperate in keeping the place nice. I found it truly beautiful — with incredible views, close to Apollo Bay but at the same time tucked away in a quiet, relaxing spot. I will definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and cozy stay!

this little bnb had a delightful feel, it was very clean and the studio view of the cows and the ocean, was beautiful to wake up to and the bed was so comfortable with lovely linen . Away from the towns it was peaceful. My only thing is we got there late, there was no soap to bath with, and no blow dryer , unfortunately with weight issues we don't travel with blow dryers, it was very sparce as far as the nice things to have there goes. Just giving this feedback for the owners and staff. But like I said positon 5× stay was so relaxing...and the communication was really good..thank you for giving us this lovely opportunity.

We had a wonderful stay at Seacroft Estate in Sugarloaf. The location is absolutely stunning with breathtaking ocean views and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The property is well maintained, and everything was spotlessly clean on arrival.The accommodation was very comfortable, with all the facilities we needed for a pleasant stay. The kitchen was well equipped, the rooms were cozy, and the shared spaces had a welcoming feel. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches and the serene surroundings, which made it feel like a true retreat.

Beautiful Location with Ocean Views and Sounds, simple accommodation, very clean, everything in good order and repair with a comfortable King sized bed.

We did a short stay during our Great Ocean Road trip. Beautiful place to stop at after a long stretch of driving down the ocean side. The fuzzy cows and alpacas, and the friendly property cat were the frosting on the cake.

Highly recommend!! - An absolutely perfect stop off while doing the great ocean road! - Gorgeous location with hostel-style private bedrooms, ideal for a short visit.- Check in was super easy and Apollo Bay is only 15 min drive. - Bed was a large King, super soft and comfy and the room was a decent size. Bedding & towels provided. - Bathrooms were fine & had lots of hot water, although most of the female guests used the men’s bathrooms which was a bit frustrating (I guess because the ladies were a little further away from the kitchen/common area, however this is out of the hosts control!). - Kitchen equipped for all needs, although a tad dated, but perfectly functional.- Would absolutely stay again as the price was incredibly reasonable.

Worth the trip and beautiful landscapes around. Everything was working properly and made us spend a great night next to the Great Ocean Rd. 🙂

Anyone who like Astrophotography should stay here. Far away from all the city lights gives you the best view of stars.

The scenery here is absolutely stunning! At night, you can see countless stars and even the Milky Way — truly breathtaking. In the morning, the sunrise paints the sky with beautiful colors. Such a memorable and special stay!

What an amazing view can be had for breakfast or anytime.It reminds me of staying at YHA when I was younger with a private room but communal lounge and access to 'commercial grade' kitchen. You could really cook an excellent meal if wanting to 'depending how busy they were' and needing to share the space but a lot of high quality cooking gear and dual ovens, etc. would allow people to readily cook a complete 3 course meal if they wanted to, a lot better than any 'hotel room'. Eating in the front room allows a beautiful view through large bay windows of the ocean that was across the road and hard to imagine a better view whilst dining.

This quiet monastery was very well located with a beautiful view!The room was modest, but clean and easy to find. We had a little heater in our bedroom that was well appreciated.You have to walk outside to get to the toilets/showers, which can be cold at night during winter, but for that price it is more than enough.The wifi worked very well.Definitely a good deal if you want a cheap housing on The Great Ocean Road ☺️

The room was small but the communal room with the kitchen facilities was great. We enjoyed cooking , eating and just relaxing there. Although it was a little inconvenient to get out of our room to use the toilet esp in the middle of a cold late night, I appreciate the heater placed in the share toilet. Would recommend if you are looking for a one -nighter along the GOR.

Pretty good overall

Great value for money at $75. Bedroom and bathroom were clean and kitchen/dining facilities were great. The only issue was that the shared bathroom buildings were not attached to the rooms which meant walking outside to get to the toilet and showers. Location and scenery were spectacular.

A quick stop for us on the GOR and this was perfect for that. Everything you need is there. We loved this for a different accommodation experience.

This is a really lovely and peaceful location to stay at. I was a little worried about the fact that the facilities are all shared, but they were all very clean and well maintained. We stayed here for one night during our recent trip along the Great Ocean Road, and selected it partly due to a recommendation from a friend, but also because of the novelty of having the ability to sleep in a treehouse! The treehouse room was small as expected, but perfectly adequate and as the sun came up the views were simply spectacular. A well appointed shared kitchen made for a great communal area and we ended up chatting to a number of other guests there which was fun. Facilities were shared and more than adequate for us, not much different to what you might expect at a camping ground, but clean and well maintained. Incredibly quiet and peaceful and would certainly happily recommend this to anyone who wants a stay in a unique environment.

My wife and I had an unforgettable stay at this peaceful house. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking ocean views from the balcony. Watching the sunrise over the ocean was a magical experience, and the serene atmosphere made for the perfect getaway.

The location is unbeatable! The secluded beach is just across the road, making it easy to enjoy a refreshing dip or a relaxing walk along the shore. We also loved the scenic walk to the nearby waterfall, which was a hidden gem. The views from the back deck, overlooking the rolling farmland and Highland cattle, added to the charm of this beautiful retreat.

The house itself is well-designed for comfort and relaxation. The upstairs king bedroom offers incredible panoramic ocean views, and the luxurious freestanding bath with views of the farm was a real treat. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, cozy lounge with a wood fire, and the variety of entertainment options on Apple TV.

Great place to stay a night on road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide. Beautiful location, peaceful, beach access just across the road. Situated between Lorne and Apollo Bay. Comfortable for 6 of us with great outside deck space.

The peace and quiet was magnificent until a large group booked in and they were very noisy but only there one night Bed was comfy but very small room 1. No hanging space. Room was clean but definitely a place to stay in warmer weather. Weatherboard building doubt there's any insulation . Heating is very basic. Views are magnificent with countryside and sea background. Air is so clean and fresh. Water pressure in showers is good plenty of hot water . However it in Portable type building. Overall good stay but you have to adapt to the conditions. Would stay again in Warmer weather. Sam and Barry Great hosts nothing is too much trouble. Your are 15 min drive to Apollo bay on the coast rode. Safe driving is a must. Fisherman Co op best Fish and Chips. Also Great Ice cream in town. Magnificent drive to Colac.

Nicht weit ist der Kennet River Nature Walk, wo man kurz vor Dämmerung Riesenkängurus, Koalas und ko sehen kann. 😞 - Zimmer waren schon basic und es hatte Krabbeltiere. The room itself was pretty basic, but the shared facilities were quite nice. There's a large well equipped shared kitchen where the other guests made themselves meals, and a dining room with views of the ocean. It was a nice way to meet other travelers. The location is only a 10 minute drive from Kennett River area where you can see koalas and other animals. The farm itself was very pretty, and the highland cows and alpacas were adorable.

Good to stay.

It was more than enough for 6 adult n a 6 year old in one house. and big front yard for kids to run or play sports. thanks

Very beautiful surrounding, the two seemed like nice people, though I only stayed a night 🙂 clean sheets, heater worked. Only thing something to hang your towel in the shower would be nice but water pressure and cleanliness was great and i loved their farm and animals. Coffee also veryyy good

Loved it! Room clean and bed super comfy. Kitchen is huge and well equipped. Lovely dining area with nice sofas by the fire.Front common room with lots of comfy chairs for relaxing with a cracking view. So peaceful - could only hear the ocean and birds. Other guests were very quiet. Amenities clean and ample.Cute highland cows to top it off!

Absolutely loved the views, quiet, the furnishing and inclusions and most importantly the inquisitive highland cows in the paddock behind.
Definitely could have stayed there much, much longer
with some books, coffee from the coffee maker and taken in more of that relaxing atmosphere. Easy walk to the ocean as well.
Superb bedroom upstairs to lie in looking out to morning over the ocean. Bliss.

De passage pour une nuit, nous avons beaucoup aimé la maison, les espaces communs. Il y a tout, on ne manque de rien. C’est très propre et la vue est vraiment superbe !

Nothing bad to say, the place was great, views were fantastic, amenities were there, although the coffee machine didn’t have hot water. Besides that, no complaints whatsoever.

Bei Sam hat es mir sehr gut gefallen. Die Küche war sehr gut eingerichtet und sauber. Jeden Tag lagen frische Lappen und Handtücher in der Küche bereit. Die Toiletten und Duschen waren sehr sauber. Die warme Decke im Bett war super, denn in den zwei Nächten war es sehr kalt. Ich habe mich wohlgefühlt.Ich empfehle die Unterkunft von Sam gerne weiter.

My group and I had an amazing stay at this airbnb. Check in was a breeze and our room was just as described and pictured. The beds were super comfortable and the room was overall clean and cozy. The location was honestly unbeatable, the perfect place to stay if you’re exploring the great ocean road. The ocean view was incredible. Bathrooms were always clean and fully stocked. Sam was very responsive in the messages and extremely helpful. Highly recommended staying at this airbnb!Thank you so much 🙂

This was my second time staying at Sam’s estate and it was a bit disappointing. I had stayed in the ocean view cottage the first time around and this time I opted to stay in a private room. The room was slightly smaller than the photos shown and the washrooms were also located far away. The description gave the impression that all the amenities would be in a shared common closed space. Other than this issue, the property is quite beautiful and scenic. Hope the host updates the description to match guest expectations.
