Such a beautiful place to stay, so peaceful with stunning views of the ocean. The cottage had everything we needed and more to relax, cook and experience a comfortable stay. We loved the wood fire and the super king bed was so comfortable we slept so well!
The kids loved the Alpacas and the wide open spaces!
Sam and her Partner are warm, friendly, helpful hosts.

So lucky we find Sam's place at the last mins during long weekend. really had a great time there. especially kids welcome ocean view cottage. Heaps of kids toys and books to choose from. Highly recommend to the family with young children.

Sam's accommodation was super cozy, warm and comfortable. It was quiet as it was outside of Apollo Bay but close enough such that stocking up was not difficult at all. The view out the windows was beautiful.
There was also a good selection of books to read. Would definitely stay again.

We had a short stay at Sugarloaf, very cosy and comfortable and our host Sam was great. Our young daughter even got to feed some alpaccas while she was there, which was great fun! Would definitely stay there again. 😊

Amazing place for a weekend break!!!

This house is middle of nowhere but with beautiful scenes. It’s facing the ocean, you can wake up seeing the beautiful sunrise and llamas. It’s not far from Apollo bay or Lorne. You can have a quiet relaxing stay. The only thing some people probably need to concern is the water, it’s filtered rain water.

Great rural location. Very comfortable beds. Proximal to a wild coastline. All requirement we needed were present.

Fabulous location for walks, swims, salty sea air and serenity. Quick hop into Apollo Bay and lots of nice walks nearby like Carisbrook Falls and Kennett River. Great accommodation for families and plenty of space.

The location is quiet and hearing the waves was lovely. The kids enjoyed the little extras around the cottage for their entertainment, as well as the trampoline outside.

We spent 5 days in the ocean view cottage and loved our time there. Our boys were well entertained with the toys, trampoline and amazing grass to run around on. Having some technology free time was so relaxing and with a collection of books and games the time went quickly. The rock pool across the road and beach was well loved by us too.

Such a paradise! We had a beautiful and relaxing five days here and left feeling rejuvenated. The extra touches for our daughter, like the trampoline and the toys in our cottage, made life easy too. Thanks guys, we will be back!

Excellent residence in a lot of around 2 others. Great space for the kids, stones throw from the beach. Great views from the house right out to the ocean.

Plenty of space inside the house for the kids and there were toys supplied as well.

Kitchen is well equiped with everything you need, however a quirk of the place was that there was no coffee only tea, but you could buy coffee from a machine located in another area of the property.

Overall a great place to stay and only around 15 mins from Apollo Bay.

Picturesque location and a very peaceful stay. The kids enjoyed exploring the beach and playing on the trampoline at the property. Loved the scenic views of countryside and ocean. Clean kitchen with all that you need for cooking.

A great place to stay - just a stone's throw from the beach, and we had it all to ourselves! Just lovely! Sam was always there tending to her property and full of great suggestions on where to visit. Place was lovely and clean and as described. Beautiful beach views from all windows - and those sunsets were amazing!

Awesome for family with young children, close to the beautiful ocean, friendly Alpacas just opposite our cottage & beautiful green garden. Serenity fills the air with positive zest left us with memorable reminiscence luring to revisit again one day!

Cute little rustic cottage. A large bedroom on one end of the house and a smaller room with 2 bunk beds at the other end. It was quite hot in the evenings in the bunk bed room but it cooled down overnight. Large trampoline and a cubby house and sandpit for the kids to play outside. Lots of indoor toys kept the kids entertained all day. Across the road from a rockpool beach which was fun for our little kids. Very close to Apollo Bay. Great value for money. We’d love to go back!

The cottage was just perfect for our family of 6. Loved the wood heater, great kitchen and excellent value.

Our family of four had an absolutely amazing 2 nights. This place has everything- brilliant views, quiet location yet close enough to Apollo Bay. The cottage is bigger than we anticipated. The kids were entertained with the trampoline, slides, alpacas, climbing trees and the beach. The beach is only very short walk across the paddock, and it’s a secluded beach with lots of rock pools and shells which entertained the kids for hours.
Sam and Barry were very hospitable and made us feel welcome.
Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. We will be back for sure.

Seacroft is incredibly beautiful, and this place is an absolute gem of a find. A warm and welcoming cottage with everything you could possibly need for a super relaxed and quiet retreat in nature. The cottage is located at the back of the property so feels private, even though it is attached to another small cottage. It is very spacious, with separate living and dining, and your own private sunny deck at the back—perfect for watching the stunning sunrises & sunsets, and listening to the birds. The ocean views from the property are phenomenal. I already can’t wait to return. Absolutely recommend. Thank you so much, Sam!

I have had to cancel my trip to Sam’s place due to covid restrictions and they’ve been more than amazing and understanding with our situation. Would surely try again to visit their place once I get the chance. ☺️☺️☺️

Hidden treasure. Perfect spot to stop and relax for a few days. Hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming. Such a beautiful property and well equipped for children. Our cottage had everything we needed and we loved the fact there was no TV, we had a fireplace and that was all we needed. Will definitely be back.

This place has the best sunsets on offer. It’s set on beautiful sprawling grounds, a stone’s throw from the beautiful beach and some nice walks. The gardens were lovely and the views to the water were just spectacular. We were a group of 6 and had a great time there, felt so fortunate to get to stay in such a beautiful place over Christmas.

Ocean view is a beautiful space to spend time with good views and surroundings.

The cottage is cosy and clean with good ocean and mountain views. It's not only a holiday house but a great farm stay experience for the kids. Stunning ocean view in the common room where we had a few breakfasts. Recommended!

The cottage was clean (& cute!), check in was a breeze and it was easy to get my 9 month old settled with the porta cot included in the master bedroom. Views are magnificent, place is super easy to get to from Great Ocean Rd. Thanks!

We arrived at the cottage to find the keys in the door and it was the smoothest check-in possible. The property overlooks the ocean on one side and behind it is a beautiful expanse of greenery creating a wonderful tranquility. The property included a large trampoline and its the perfect addition for friends and families staying on the property. The cottage itself was well maintained and clean. The mattresses were comfy and warm. Overall, we had a great stay and I take away very happy memories.

We stayed at Seacroft just before Melbourne was released from lockdown in November so it was lovely and quiet. We stayed in the rear ocean view cottage which was spacious and private. The cottage was ideal for a couple and kids happy to be at the other end of the cottage in the bunk room. We were two single people.
The cottage is old style. It still holds elements of catholic nunnery. The windows are tall but not wide. I loved the wooden floor.
We used the fireplace which worked well as it was very cold weather. We had to bring our own wood. There are good heaters otherwise.
There are extensive vegetable gardens which were tempting as the produce was overripening but I didn’t think it was for all to pick.
There was a lot of maintenance happening while we were there at the front of the building preparing for summer.
The rocks on the beach in front of Seacroft were fascinating and a little further a more rock free sandy beach.
I look forward to staying again with an art/ yoga/ music group which would work well.

Seacroft is an absolute dream. The ocean views, beautiful rooms and facilities are amazing. I can’t thank Sam enough for looking after us and making our stay so peaceful. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful landscape photo/video opportunity of rolling green hills, crashing waves of the ocean, cows, and blue skies . It made for wonderful tranquil time focusing on waiting for the right light.

Beds are super comfy, with a clean and modern bathroom. Rest of space was very much rustic charm with floorboards.

Can’t ask for more with beach access down the road and Apollo Bay few minutes away.

Highly recommend.

Sam’s place was great and very private for those who treasure it. The location was ideal with an amazing view of the ocean! It was a spacious and comfortable cottage and we absolutely loved our stay! Would definitely be recommend!

Sam was really helpful when roadworks suddenly shut a section of the Great Ocean Road with no warning at all. Thankfully Sam picked up and helped guide us through what could have been a stressful moment at 8pm at night!
The house is very good value for money - it's fairly basic, and fine for a one or two night stop, but much cheaper than other properties in that area.
The location is stunning. We had some very cold weather so we needed all the heaters and blankets - but overall great value. Thanks

Couldn’t fault it, great location for a relaxed informal wedding. Great to have all guest staying onsite. Wonderful host who went the extra mile, even collected straw bales for us! And answered our endless questions quickly.

The cottage was spotless, had a large main bedroom, cosy lounge area, separate dining area, well equipped kitchen and quad bedroom with double bunks which were very warm and comfortable.

Our 12 year old daughter especially loved meeting Snowy the dog and the cows.
It was also lovely having a trampoline in the grounds after being in the car all day, and being within in few minutes walk to the local beach which had really cool rock pools.

This stay was her favourite part of our whole road trip.

Our third time here in Sam's house. We booked a cottage this time. We had a good time in a private space for our family. Quite nice equipment and highly recommend for a family or have a trip with friends.

This is a wonderful place and we would have loved to stay longer. Especially with kids it’s great.

It’s our second time going to Sam’s place and it was once again and lovely time ! It’s a large charming cottage surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Don’t forget to bring wood for the fireplace, it’s so charming and needed to warm the cottage at winter time

Loved taking my girlfriend back to Seacroft, we have booked the venue for our wedding and enjoyed showing her Seacroft. Sam is extremely efficient with all her communication as well as being super friendly and welcoming during our stays. A great city escape, even if it’s just for a night!!

My family and i stayed here for 1 day and we wish we had stayed for more. Absolutely loved the location and the home itself. Nice, spacious and cosy. It is well named "Ocean View Cottage" as you can view the ocean from pretty much every window of the cottage. I will definitely come back in the future and recommend it to others.

Ocean view cottage is a lovely and warm place to stay ! There are another cottage and houses next door but it is still a perfect peaceful area surrounded by beautiful green hills and amazing view on the ocean. The cottage is quite big, well warmed and very pleasant! We loved the fireplace, the bedroom and gardens !

Stunning views and perfect for kids

The views from this house were amazing! And we particularly enjoyed meeting Sam as she showed us around the whole property and explained to us the fascinating history of it. About a 15 minute drive into Apollo Bay for a nice breakfast or dinner!

Great place for a stopover along the great ocean road. Kids loved the space to roam and play and enjoyed helping feed the cows. Place was clean and cozy. Sam made sure we had everything we needed and were nice and warm for our brief stay during August. Prompt communication and super lovely hosts. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice cottage located about 15mins from Apollo Bay so it's quite secluded and quiet which makes for a very peaceful stay. Very pretty location with amazing views and large green spaces for the kids to run around.

The house has a beautiful view, you can see the ocean from all the windows in the house. The kitchen has everything I need to cook dinner. There are so many boardgames there. Sam was really helpful, she offerred to help lighting the fire. Everyone were happy with the house.

Justine's place is very special, peaceful and immaculately clean. We will certainly come back.

The cottage is well located after a day’s exploring on the great ocean road. Bringing wood is a must in the winter as the house was chilly even with the small wall heaters going. We arrived very late in the day and as the cottage is 20 minutes drive from the nearest town for supplies, we had to do without. It would have been much cosier with the fire on. Also the bunk beds are not standard and are very high. They would be unsafe for very small children. The cottage is clean and spacious and the absence of tv and wifi was actually nice.

Amazing location literally on the great ocean road. The place was spacious and unique! We didn’t have kids on the trip but the place was totally set up for small children. The beds were all clean and comfortable and the living areas were great! The surrounding property was beautiful and the view of the ocean was our favourite part!

There is a very cute little boy coming to say hi to us. They didn’t charge cleaning fee so we cleaned up the entire house before we left. Thank you for hosting us~

Good house for family with kids. Trampoline is the best and large space with great ocean view.

Sam’s place was super clean and well maintained. It was like those old fashioned cottages that had a very cozy and comfortable vibe to it. The bedrooms were spacious and view was amazing. They even have a super friendly dog named snowey. The only thing that bug me was no shampoo or soap in the bathroom rest was perfect

Enjoyed staying in this house.
Even not the house is not air conditioned, wild in the night time provided us a good and comfortable feeling.
Parking is just outside the house, very nice.
We had an enjoyable time just outside the house with the sky full of stars.
The house is full of antiques, we enjoyed living in this style of house.
For the down side, some dead insects are around widows. But you cannot expect a farm house window without insert?
Recommend this house if you travel in great ocean road.

We had an incredible time at Sam’s place. It was very clean and comfortable, and more spacious than expected. The view in the morning was also outstanding. Great place for families on the Great Ocean Road. A queen bed and a bunk room for 4 at the other end of the house. The big yard has a garden, trampoline, and tree house. Views of the sea and close to Apollo Bay and Kennett River. The place has an old farm house or cottage feel with simple decorations. Good value for money!

The Ocean View Cottage is quite a large cottage and had plenty of space for our family of four. It's great to have a trampoline and tree house outside for the kids to play in.

Seacroft is an amazing property.
Probably one of the most beautiful places on this earth. We spent the days looking out to the beautiful views and reading whilst the kids played in the bunny and trampoline. It is something very special.
Sam and her family are brilliant with lots of local information and sharing their beautiful property.

Great view, I lovee the trampoline and all the activities, games and toys for kids. My niece was super happy and entertained the entire time.

Had our wedding here two weeks ago and couldn't have chosen a better spot or a better host. Sam was an absolute gun and went above and beyond to make sure the place was welcoming and we had all the help we needed on our special weekend. The location itself is spectacular and beautifully kept with little gardens throughout, well thought out renovations and quality facilities. No guest went unimpressed!
Between those two things, we don't need any more convincing to visit many more rimes in future.
We cannot thank you enough Sam!

Awesome place!! It’s a little bit out of the way from anything so if it’s tranquility you’re after, this place is a go to! It is also family friendly, cots and a high chair is there if you needed it. Sam also had the heaters on for us before we got there so it was toasty when we got there which was amazing!

Sam's house is facing the sea and backed by the mountain which has a stunning view of the ocean and grass. With full range of cooking pots and functions which makes it easier for family with babies. The best bnb ever stayed during the trip.

Awesome place to stay in with amazing views both at the front and the back of the house where there is a view of a forest. We wish we could have stayed longer to soak in the views but unfortunately had to leave early the next morning since the great ocean road was going to be closed for a cycle event. 🙁 We didnt know about it until Sam mentioned it to us about the closure , which was very much appreciated

Sam's place was perfect. The cottage was sparkling clean and warm when we first arrived. All heaters were on and it was warm and crispy. We used the fireplace and it was perfect for the night. No TV (for a good reason) so we spend the quality night playing boardgames and chit chatting. The bed was super comfy and oh the blanket, probably the comfiest ever! Kitchen was great too. I easily cooked dins and breakkie for 5 just fine. My daughter love the trampoline. Can't wait for the tree house to be completed. I love the vege patches. I wish i have a gigantic spring onion in my backyard too, and kale, and rainbow chard! I even found the purple asparagus in between strawberries. The view was extraordinary. You don't want to leave this place. 1 night definitely not enough. My advice to all, stay more than a night!

This is a great location and worked out well as a base to travel on the GOR. It was a cosy retreat with all the facilities. Sam was a great host. The history of the place offers another dimension

Amazing view from cottage. The place very nice and clean. Hardly sleep because very cold at night, heater not really helping. Overall this place was wonderful.

What an amazing stay at Ocean View Cottage. It was wonderful for my whole group and we loved even having optional places to relax in the main house area. The views from either side were spectacular!

This is a lovely cottage tastefully renovated. Views are wonderful. Sam was very helpful with places to see.

It was a short 1 night stopover during our journey on the GOR. Quiant lil house facing the Ocean. House was clean and neat, just what we needed.

We stopped at Seacroft for just one night on our quick Great Ocean Road trip. The setting is truly lovely, and the cottage is charming, comfortable, and well stocked with books, games, toys, and a French press (the only coffee maker in four AirBnBs so far in Australia). Although it was windy and rainy outside, we kept very warm inside by the wood stove. We didn't notice before we booked that there is no internet access, but cell reception is great. We would definitely recommend Seacroft to anyone driving the Great Ocean Road who is looking for something different from the motels in Apollo Bay.

Great spot. Was clean and tidy. Scenic views from the property.

This place was really great! If you want to unplug, this is your place! No internet or TV, but the ocean views and walks were so much better! We really did have an ocean view out of every window. Sam was a great host and we found an easy trail to the beach once walking down the road for a short way. We would recommend this place and would love to come back!

Great stopping point on our Great Ocean Road trip from Melbourne, just before Apollo Bay. Very clean, puzzles and games for a fun night in. The property is lovely with gardens and sheep close by. Communication with owner was perfect. Best night sleep I've had in a long time!

Our stay at the Ocean View cottage was the perfect stop on our Great Ocean Road trip. The beach is nearby, quiet and provided lots of exploration. The cottage is quiet, had amazing views out all the windows, and Sam was a fantastic host. My only regret is that we hadn't planned to stay longer.
